Opinion: Covid-19 has revealed just how vulnerable we are to biosecurity threats
The field of biosecurity -- aimed at keeping nations safe from natural or human-made pathogens -- has long been eclipsed by cybersecurity and counterterrorism, for good reason: the threat of a pandemic or an act of biological terror seemed comparatively small. But now that Covid-19 has revealed just how serious these threats can be, we must take preventative measures to ensure our physical and economic resilience.
